Meet Our Team

DP Connect has always made the training of its staff a top priority. With the IT world changing so fast, no credible recruitment business could do otherwise, and for us, developing our staff applies to everyone in the company. Our staff are our ambassadors, whether you are a director, managing payroll or answering the switchboard. Simple lack of space means that here we describe the roles of our directors and divisional team leaders, whilst recognising the essential contribution of all our other staff in providing the DP Connect service.

Aidan Anglin, CEO

Aidan Anglin

Aidan joined DP Connect as an advisor to the board in August 2011 to assist in accelerating the growth of the business as it enters its third decade of success.

In a 20 year career Aidan has held senior roles within a number of the UKs major recruiters. After 5 years as MD of MSB International prior to its successful sale to Networkers International, he became MD of the European technology brands within the Spring Group which included Spring Technology, Best, and Glotel. After Spring’s successful sale to the Adecco group, Aidan was given additional responsibility for the Computer People brand becoming MD of the largest technology recruiter in the UK with a turnover in excess of £400 million across 12 locations with 400 consultants.

In April 2017 DP Connect was acquired in a MBO by Aidan from Founder, Toni Cocozza. Aidan continues to work with DP Connect’s existing management team, with support from Toni in an advisory capacity, to further develop and scale-up the business.

Thaya Martin, Financial Controller

Thaya Martin

Thaya has joined DP Connect in 2010, prior to this; she has worked for a number of large organisations including Power Plate International Ltd, where she was working as the Group FC managing both the UK and International divisions.

Thaya recognises and embraces the importance of paying our contractors on time every time and she goes out of her way to assist contractors and clients, and indeed the recruitment team at DP Connect, with a variety of complex accounting and contractual queries. Her flexible, commercial and common sense approach have been recognised by our customers.

 

 

Cherry Swayne, Head of Specialist Markets

 Cherry SwayneCherry joined DP Connect in 2012 and was responsible for successfully establishing and growing our Cambridge office before taking on a company-wide role of Head of Specialist Markets. Cherry works closely with our Consultants across the business in driving the growth of our four specialist brands: Payments, Cyber Security, Digital & Data Science.

Her role involves networking and business development across our core markets, hiring and training new Consultants and working with the marketing department to establish our brand presence. Prior to joining DP Connect, Cherry spent 5 years working at Hays PLC where she progressed to Team Leader within their Construction and Property division. Outside of her day to day role Cherry also holds a Regional Director position for the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and is an Employability Mentor for the Prince's Trust.

Matt Taylor, Head of Delivery

Matt TaylorMatt joined DP Connect in 2008 from Spring. His 4 years at Spring provided him with a solid foundation in beginning his career within the industry. Originally Matt was a 360 consultant within the Software Testing market. He was swiftly promoted to lead the Resource and Talent Acquisition teams who provide candidates to new and existing clients. In the last year Matt has taken up the role of Head of Delivery.

He has ownership of delivery across the HQ plus our 2 regional offices. His role also involves looking into current and future sourcing strategies, training new staff, candidate acquisition tools and to help instill best practice. Matt has identified the challenges that we are all facing in a demanding market and he thrives on sourcing the best talent. Matt really enjoys training, knowledge sharing and takes joy in seeing others progress and succeeding.

Chris Easom, Cambridge Team Leader

Stuart TurnerChris originally joined DP Connect as a Senior Consultant in June 2016 before being promoted to Head of Cambridge soon after. He currently managers the team who focus in the specialist Digital market, partnering with innovative and exciting companies who are based across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. Chris had 3 years recruitment experience in the construction/sales sector prior to joining DP Connect and he’s really enjoyed the transition into the fast-paced Technology industry.

Supported by his team, Chris is always looking to improve relationships with existing clients and encourage new organisations to explore the benefits of using DP Connect to grow their IT teams. He’s created a positive, hard-working, collaborative environment for his team, which enables consultants of all levels to reach their potential. Fundamentally, the level of service we provide the organisations who trust us with their vacancies is paramount and this message resonates across the office every day. On the rare occasion Chris switches off from recruitment; you are likely to find him in the gym or organising his next snowboarding trip.
